What’s your favourite client moment?
I had a client with Ehlers Danlos come to me after seeing a long list of specialists and practitioners. She was understandably frustrated and feeling defeated. She had a goal of returning to higher intensity activities and being able to participate in more group activities. By the end of our time together she was rock climbing, kayaking, playing tennis and going for long hikes! It was so wonderful to watch her gain agency over her rehab experience and have the confidence and strength to participate in her desired activities knowing she had the tools to manage whatever came up in the process.
Let us BTS - give us a personal tid bit?
I love a good slow morning. I am a certified night owl, so mornings are not always the easiest! I love the opportunity to move into the day slowly with a nice coffee, a good book and cuddles with my dog Fergus (when he feels like it). Bonus points if it is on vacation and I can sit outside and enjoy the sounds of nature around me.
Clare in team cheerful’s words…
As a neurodivergent practitioner, Clare’s brain works in strange and mysterious ways! This allows her to see things from a different perspective and often results in a plethora of weird (and wonderful!) analogies that help her clients better understand exercise cues, stages of recovery and their bodies in general.
