What’s your favorite client moment?

I remember working with a client who'd been dealing with urinary incontinence and chronic constipation for nearly two decades. She'd been wearing an incontinence pad since her early 20s just to feel safe leaving the house, skipping plans with friends, and mapping every outing around bathroom access. So the day she told me she'd ditched the pad for good is one that's stuck with me ever since. Watching her get her life back was so heart warming and reminded me exactly why I love my job.

Let us BTS - give us a personal tid bit?

I'm a sucker for Type 2 Fun with friends: activities that are borderline miserable while you're in them but somehow turn into the funniest, most memorable experiences after. Most recently, that was a bike-packing trip to the not-so-flat Gulf Islands on the rainiest day of the summer. Something about challenging myself alongside friends definitely leaves my cup full!

My approach as a physio

I'm naturally curious, and I love connecting the dots between the mind and body. But before any of that, my priority is making sure you feel understood, safe enough to talk about the things that feel a little embarrassing, and like someone's genuinely in your corner. To me, our relationship is just as much a part of your treatment as anything else I give you.
